From a very young age I knew I wanted to work with animals. In 2009 I began my own side hustle walking dogs and pet sitting. My first full time job with dogs was at a local boarding/ daycare facility from 2015-2017. In 2018 I graduated from Colorado Mesa University with a degree in Biology. My passion for dog training sparked when I adopted my first problem dog. I hired several trainers, until I realized that there is a huge difference between obedience and behavior training. Obedience is a powerful tool to have, but obedience fails when the state of mind is poor. Eventually, I found a trainer who practiced dog psychology. This was a life changing experience! I began working full time under this trainer in 2017. After 5 years of working hands on with dogs and their owners, I set out on my own path. I have since then continued my education through some of the countries premier dog trainers. The most powerful teacher for me has been the dogs and owners themselves. It is easy to get a fancy dog training certificate, but training and rehabilitating a wide variety of dogs and their humans has taught me the most. My goal is to create dogs who can be included in their owner’s everyday lives be it strolling through the park, relaxing in the home, traveling the country, going to cafés, etc. I create balance between what the human wants and the dog needs. There is no behavior issue too serious for me to tackle!
